Diabetes Network Staff
Together we, Virginia Valentine and Catherine Gray, created Diabetes Network Inc. in 1998. We are both Certified Diabetes Educators (CDE) and have diabetes ourselves. Virginia has Type 2 and Catherine has Type 1. We are both filled with a passion for improving the lives of people with diabetes and because of our commitment Diabetes Network, Inc. boasts main offices at 4108 Alcazar NE, northeast of the intersection of Montgomery and Louisiana, behind the Dairy Queen – proof we believe, that God has a sense of humor. We also have Diabetes Network Educators in Presbyterian Clinics in 10 locations. Our organization is recognized by the American Diabetes Association and wholly owned by the two of us.
Currently our small healthcare business employs three full time clinical nurse specialists who are Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) with prescriptive authority, two RN-CDEs and two fulltime office staff. Fewer than 500 health professionals hold the BC-ADM credential nationwide. We also contract with eight to ten registered nurses statewide holding Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) credentials, and two registered dietitians. |
